#Vilpiananditssurroundings

Vilpian is a fraction of the wine and asparagus village Terlan, has about 1000 inhabitants and is located directly at the famous South Tyrolean Wine street. In the small rural village you can find stores, bars, restaurants, etc. The waterfall inspires to take a walk around the village, spend some time there and enjoy an idyllic, almost mystic place. Vilpian lies between the capital Bolzano and the spa town Merano, which are easily and convenient to reach by car, bus or train within 30 minutes.

Furthermore, you can find many stores for shopping options, weekly farmer’s markets, bakeries, ice palaces, hair dresser and cosmetic salons in the neighboured villages Terlan, Nals, Lana and Eppan.

South Tyrol is famous for good food and drinks. Our very delicious cuisine combines traditional, alpine and Mediterranean food. The versatility of the meals, from typical Italian antipasti and pasta to “Kaiserschmarrn” (cut-up sugared pancake with raisins), “Schlutzer” (typical South Tyrolean donuts) and a variety of “Knödel” (dumplings), is found on every menu at mountain huts, country inns as well as at high-end gastronomy. Regionality is very important here.

Terlan has a long tradition in viniculture. Wine lovers are given the opportunity to try and purchase different, international award-winning wines at the winery Terlan. A guided tour and wine tasting, which become an indulgence for the palate and eye of every guest, take place every week. Several special events on the subject of wine are held throughout the year.

Due to the central location and the convenient links with the public transport system, Vilpian is an ideal starting point for vacation activities of all kinds. This also offers the opportunity of a car-free vacation. The next bus stop, the train station and the valley station of the cable railway towards Mölten on the Tschöggel Mountain are only 5 walking minutes away from the farm. The cycle path along the river Etsch passes almost right in front of our door. The Mobilcard, which all our guests receive for free, includes the unlimited use of trains, busses and several cable railways in South Tyrol. This way your stay at the farm can be a cost-saving and environmentally friendly voyage of discovery.
